  • To broaden the understanding of sustainable agriculture and the benefits of such a farming system
  • To enhance the knowledge of ecology, and agro-ecosystems in order to increase the participants’ awareness of environmental problems
  • To provide knowledge of biodiversity and its importance to production and its impact on the environment
  • To demonstrate various plant breeding methods, including genetic modification, aiming at developing varieties well adapted to the environment
  • To provide tools for inclusion of sustainability aspects in agricultural planning
