Project Manager in the SDC funded Markets and Seeds Access Project (MASAP) in Zambia and Zimbabwe during First Phase December 2021-June 2025

The Project Manager is providing strategic leadership during the implementation of the first phase of the MASAP project in Zambia and Zimbabw. The PM is responsible for the progress reporting to SDC as well as conducting semi-annually the Steering Committee and Stakeholder meetings. The PM role is to ensure timely achievement of project deliverables and outputs. Rutger Persson is managing two core Teams in Lusaka and Harare and has the overall coordinating role of the project activities in Zimbabwe/Zambia as well as in the wider SADC region. The Market System Development Project is engaging the private sector players to work closely with the farm communities and associations. Catalytic funding (grants) is being provided to the private sector companies and farm communities to grow the market in the targeted crop value chains.  Rutger Persson has taken an active role in developing networks with key stakeholders and stimulate cross-border collaboration. Besides the PM duties, Rutger Persson is Leading the Policy dialogue on national seed policies and regulations in SADC and COMESA.  Website: https://masap-zimzam.com/
