TRAINING PROGRAMMES
Our advanced training programmes in “Plant Breeding and Seed Production”, financed by Sida, have be conducted during the last five years (2007/08-2011/12) in association with NIRAS AB.
Another Sida- financed training programme in “Genetic Resources and Intellectual Property Rights” (GRIP) has previously been held in 2009, 2010 and 2011 at the Swedish_University_of Agricultural_Sciences Campus Alnarp, administrated by Svalof Consulting on behalf of the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) and in conjunction with the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI).
These training programmes are held in Sweden and they attract participants from all parts of the world.
They have a second phase conducted in an overseas country, where participants present their project work, and learn about the status of their own subject areas in the host country in order to broaden their professional experience
Both training programmes have taken advantage of the resources the Faculty is offering in the form of prominent lecturers in these international training programmes. Moreover, the campus environment at Alnarp allows the participants to meet and develop contacts with students, lecturers and researchers in the University.
Customised courses can also be designed and delivered in other countries on request.
